About

L.X. Frost, known for his experimental silent short films as a film student, has a deep appreciation for cinematography and a passion for crafting unique narratives with numerous hidden meanings. Despite his familiarity with film, Frost’s journey did not begin with this. Raised in England, since the age of five, Frost, like many of his peers, engaged in Lego construction inspiring him to create short animations using these creations. He then progressed to making short films as part of his involvement with a performing arts academy as a young teenager. His passion for filmmaking propelled him to pursue an extended diploma in creative media production, eventually leading to undertaking a university degree in film and television production.
In his early secondary school years, Frost developed a passion for acting. He attended performance arts academies and eventually discovered his love for directing and cinematography through the shows and short films he produced there. Becoming an actor allowed him to comprehend the challenges and triumphs that a character could experience, inspiring him to transition behind the camera and bring his stories to life.
Throughout his school life, Frost embarked on a diverse range of projects, including technology reviews, short films, music production and marketing. His unwavering passion and dedication to creating art beyond the confines of academia laid the foundation for his film journey. Initially utilising an outdated smartphone for filming and editing, he remained steadfast in his artistic endeavours, collaborating with friends to produce films. As he progressed through his school years, he eventually acquired a laptop to study industry software and bought an entry-level photography camera.
Frost dedicated countless hours to watching tutorials and creating films, learning by trial and error. Despite facing numerous setbacks in his life, he eventually pursued a course in film and television at college while simultaneously working as an intern for a film production company. These experiences provided him with invaluable insights into creative collaboration, leading him to invest in a entry-level cine camera enabling him to create films such as The Garden (2024) and The Library (2023). This ultimately led him to pursue a university degree in the field, where he collaborates with fellow enthusiasts on creative projects.
Outside of his degree, Frost has created several short films in countries including Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Netherlands and Norway.
